CardCura was built from the ground up to respect user privacy. We believe that access to high-quality financial tools should not require you to hand over your personal identity or be relentlessly tracked across the internet.
Our Stance on Data
What we DO store locally
- Estimated monthly spend
- General credit score band
- Preferred reward types
What we DON'T store anytime
- Your real name or email
- Social Security Numbers
- Connected bank account logins
1. Local Storage First
When you run an analysis on CardCura, your inputs (spend habits, credit scores) are stored locally on your device using browser localStorage to preserve your session. We do not transmit this data to a central database tied to your identity.
2. Using InPrivate Mode
If you prefer an entirely ephemeral session, you can run the CardCura engine in InPrivate Mode. Once you turn it off, all built inputs and engine outputs are immediately and permanently erased from your device memory.
3. No Sale of User Data
CardCura does not sell user data to data brokers. We do not participate in third-party behavioral personalization networks that track you across the web to serve you targeted display ads.
4. Affiliate Telemetry
When you click an "Apply Now" link for a recommended credit card, an affiliate tracking ID is passed to the credit card issuer. This allows them to know CardCura sent you. However, we do not receive identifiable data back from the issuer regarding your application status or specific personal details.
