CardCura Policy Guide

Editorial Policy

CardCura was built on a single premise: financial recommendations should be mathematical, not marketing.

Last updated: March 2026|Editorial Guidelines

1. Strict Independence

The CardCura recommendation engine and our editorial content operate entirely independently from our affiliate partnership team. A card issuer cannot pay to artificially boost their product's placement within our engine's algorithmic results, nor can they dictate the content of our reviews. Our team members are prohibited from accepting direct compensation from issuers to influence ratings.

2. How Offers Are Selected

CardCura surveys the entire credit card market, not just our affiliate partners. We actively track over 100+ cards from major issuers (Chase, Amex, Capital One, Citi, Wells Fargo) regardless of whether we have a financial relationship with them. If a card mathematically dominates a category, it will rank #1.

3. Affiliate Disclosure & Transparency

CardCura is a free tool. We may earn a commission if you apply for and are approved for a credit card through links on our site. This affiliate compensation sustains our engineering efforts, but it does not override our ranking logic. The math comes first. If a card is terrible for your scenario, our engine will rank it at the bottom, regardless of any potential commission.

4. Data Accuracy & Updates

Offer data, terms, conditions, and annual fees are analyzed algorithmically. We run programmatic checks weekly to ensure our data represents the current public market. Any major changes to a card's reward structure triggers a recalculation in our model. We maintain a change log of major updates within our engine version history.

5. Valuation Methodology

Our "Estimated Value" figures are calculated based on conservative, baseline redemption ratios (e.g., 1 point = 1 cent for cash back). We prioritize liquidity and ease of use in our baseline modeling. We do not use speculative, maximum-possible transfer partner valuations unless explicitly stated in a specific 'advanced' scenario.

6. Not Financial Advice

CardCura provides analytical tools and journalistic reviews. Our content and tools do not constitute personalized financial, tax, or legal advice. Please consult a licensed professional for advice regarding your specific circumstances.
